Lydia D. Issa first sensed a call to write while living in West Africa in 2006. This call led her to seminary, where she studied Christian Thought and wrote mostly assignments for classes. Upon graduation, Lydia worked as the Director of Young Adult ministries for a church. She wrote primarily small group Bible studies, newsletters, and curricula.

In 2018, one piece of writing drastically changed her life. After living for 20 adult years as a single woman, she wrote her story about singleness and published it on her blog. Her future husband read it and asked her out. Seven months later, she got married. Since then, Lydia has left her church ministry position to be home with her two small kids. She is now working on her career as a podcaster, coach, and speaker.

Lydia’s discipleship journey is marked with active waiting and adventurous courage. She loves the time and intentionality of learning God’s Word. She loves the challenge and excitement of discerning God’s will. She loves the adventurous courage and active waiting it takes to walk in God’s way.
